Gnomeo & Juliet

“Gnomeo & Juliet” is the name of the movie. Gnomeo & Juliet is originally based on William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Gnomeo & Juliet is a 2011 animated family film. The film is directed by Kelly Asbury, and the two main characters are voiced by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt. The film was released on February 11, 2011. The movie is distributed by E1 Entertainment (UK) and Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture (US). The producers of the movie are Baker Bloodworth, David Furnish and Steve Hamilton Shaw. The music is given by Elton John, Lady Gaga, Chris P. Bacon, James Newton Howard and the lyrics by Bernie Taupin. The Budget of the “Gnomeo & Juliet” movie is 10 millio dollars only and the movie “Gnomeo & Juliet” gross more than $175,359,417 worldwide. So that tell the full story of the movie how well time the movie has on the box office. The “Gnomeo & Juliet” is clearly a big hit as well.

The film was the original idea of Sprackling and Smith. They sold the script to through the rocket pictures. So this had to be a Disney product as well. But project shut down when there new John Lasseter. The Miramax Films picked up the project and guided its production until the division closed down.

This movie has its huge line of voice as well. James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Jason Statham, Maggie Smith, Patrick Stewart, Ashley Jensen, Matt Lucas, Stephen Merchant, Ozzy Osburne, Jim Cummings, Hulk Hogan, Julie Walters, Richard Wilson, Kelly Asbury and Shroom. James McAvoy played the part of Gnomeo Montague and Emily Blunt as Juliet Capuet.




Mrs. Montague and Mr. Capulet are two people who really hate each other. When they leave the garden, objects come alive in both their yards. The yard of the Montague is full with blue garden gnomes and the yard of the Capulet is full with red garden genomes. After some days both blue and red gnomes attend a lawn-mover race. The two teams representing there participators as blues is Gnomeo and the reds is Tybalt . In the front page of the race its looks like that Gnomeo was going to win but Tybalt cheat for the win.  On that night, Gnomeo and Benny tired to infiltrate the red garden in disguise. They planed that they will spray the reds' lawnmower with blue spray paint. While Tybalt sleeping and Tybalt's best friend, Fawn (Ozzy Osbourne), playing cards with small red gnomes, it looks like there are no flaws in their plan. Its turns out bad when Benny foolishly sprays Tybalt's well and accidentally triggers a security light in the process, alerting the red gnomes to attack. Gnomeo luckily escaped form there. But Gnomeo find himself on the other garden. He then bumps into the daughter of the lord Redbrick. The beautiful called Juliet. Juliet is looking for the very last orchid in the greenhouse. She planed to use it as the beauty of the red garden. Gnomeo is intrigued by her, and reaches for the orchid as she is about to complete the garden. But they fall in love. It is little late for them to find out that are from opposing clans. Juliet tells her friend Nanette (Ashley Jensen) about her newfound love when she back to her garden.

Gnomeo and Juliet then have secret meetings in a secret garden, where they meet a pink plastic flamingo named Featherstone (Jim Cummings). He supports and encourages their love, and the two begin to meet regularly. When the two of them are getting ready for a date, Juliet's father introduces her to Paris, a red gnome that Nanette has fallen for, though Juliet manages to run away. They made there date. But when Gnomeo comes home he find out his mother (Maggie Smith), who is distraught after the reds infiltrated the garden and destroyed the plant Gnomeo's deceased father planted. The blue want Gnomeo to help them and Gnomeo can not deny them unless he tells his secret. There comes the twist. How the story end if you want to know then you will have see the movie.

This film majorly appeals to younger audience. Animations used were really nice and the whole setting of this movie is so pleasant to watch.
